CALGARY, February 8, 2021 –Equity Health Services is pleased to announce the nomination of Dr. Robert Stuart Bell as the Chair of the new Strategic Advisory Board. Dr. Bell served as Deputy Minister Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, for the province of Ontario from June 2014 to June 2018. During his term in the ministry, Dr. Bell successfully led several major reforms in the health care system in Ontario including reforming community lab business models through the Protecting Patients Act, 2017. This legislation modernized the provision of community lab services improving cost effectiveness.
Equity Health Services is also pleased to nominate Mr. Tyler White, CEO of Siksika Health to the Strategic Advisory Board. Mr. White has led Siksika Health, the healthcare organization of Siksika Nation, Alberta’s second largest first nation, since its creation to one of the most successful indigenous health organizations in Canada. Equity Health Services and Siksika Health have a strategic collaboration agreement to improve the healthcare for indigenous communities in Alberta.
